I wasn’t always in the “cookie” business. I spent many years in the corporate world,
first as a paralegal for seven years, then as a front office manager in a dental office for ten
years. The bakery industry was
not completely new to me when I purchased my retail store a few years ago, as I have always had a passion for cooking and baking. From the time I was a young child, I would
always help my mother in the kitchen. My
mother made everything from scratch and a store bought mix was never seen in her
kitchen. Since I was raised with only
the finest and freshest ingredients, I too wanted to raise my kids the same manner. When they were younger they would sit at the kitchen counter and
help measure out ingredients for me when I was baking. Not only was it fun to play with sugar and flour,
but it was also a learning experience for them.
